Four services,one brain.
Brings Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager and Ads data together in one place. It produces a growth score and shows the links between organic and paid, channel and budget, measurement and optimisation.
Why read Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager and Ads together
The four tools see different slices of the same customer. Search Console shows visibility in search, Analytics shows visits to your site, Tag Manager shows whether measurement is set up, and Ads shows paid clicks. Looked at in separate tabs, the answer to “why did traffic drop” is split into four pieces.
You can build this join by hand in Looker Studio too; we compare the two approaches on the Looker Studio alternative page.
How the growth score is calculated
| Sub-score | Calculation | If it cannot be measured |
|---|---|---|
| Acquisition | 50 + session change × 2.5 (−20% → 0, +20% → 100) | Left out without a session comparison |
| SEO | 100 − (average position − 1) × 5 | Left out if Search Console is not connected |
| Conversion | Conversion rate / 5 × 100 (5% or more → 100) | Left out if no conversion event is measured |
| Ad efficiency | 50 − change in cost per conversion × 2.5 | Left out if Google Ads is not connected or either period has no conversions |
| Measurement health | Share of the six measurement tags that are installed | Left out if Tag Manager is not connected |
The total is the unweighted average of the sub-scores that could be measured.
Values are produced by running the product's scoring formula; they are not measurements of any site.
Opportunity and waste lists
- SEO opportunity: queries ranking 4 to 10. Potential extra clicks are estimated with the median click-through rate of your own top-3 queries; with no top-3 queries, no estimate is made.
- Low click-through rate: queries with at least 100 impressions and a click-through rate below half that median.
- Ad waste: keywords that spend without bringing a single conversion.
- Cannibalisation: keywords you rank top 3 for organically but also buy in Ads; the screen flags this as risky spend, not as a saving.
- Anomaly: days when sessions deviate 25% or more from expected.
Opportunities are sorted by impact and effort, and each item links to the panel screen where you do the work. To hand off the search side, see our SEO services; for the ads side, see Google Ads management.
Measurement audit: six tags
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| GA4 measurement | The basis of traffic measurement |
| Purchase event | Without it, ROAS cannot be calculated |
| Add-to-cart event | Funnel drop-off stays invisible |
| Meta pixel | Optimisation for social ads |
| Enhanced conversions | Raises the match rate |
| Consent mode | Data loss on European traffic |
The audit looks at the tags in your Tag Manager container and lists what is missing. Google's introduction to Tag Manager explains how tags work. To set up the conversion tag, see conversion tracking.

Frequently asked questions
Which services does it read together?
Google Analytics 4, Search Console, Tag Manager and Google Ads, all authorised with one Google connection.
How is the growth score calculated?
It is the unweighted average of whichever of the acquisition, SEO, conversion, ad efficiency and measurement health sub-scores can be measured. A sub-score that cannot be measured is left out.
Can I track the score over time?
The score is recalculated from current data each time and is not stored. The sub-scores compare the latest period with the previous one.
Will it touch my ads?
This screen only reads; it does not create campaigns or change budgets. The Google Ads connection does allow changes from the panel's ad management screens.
How is the SEO opportunity calculated?
Queries ranking 4 to 10 are taken. Potential extra clicks are estimated with the median click-through rate of your own top-3 queries; with no top-3 queries, no estimate is made.
What is cannibalisation?
Paying for ads on a keyword you already rank top 3 for organically. The screen flags it as risky spend; it does not always mean money saved.
Which plan includes it?
The growth intelligence screen is open on every plan; you only need to connect your Google accounts.
