By the rules you set, expensive stops, what works grows.
The rules you set are evaluated every 30 minutes. When a condition is met, the rule's action runs: a campaign pauses, starts again or gets a new budget, and you can require approval first. A/B test results are measured hourly; the winner is shown at a 95% confidence threshold.

Meta ads agencyWhat ad management is, and where the work really is
Launching a campaign is quick. The hard part comes after: an ad set that was profitable in the morning gets expensive by afternoon, a creative tires in a few days, tracking breaks quietly. Ad management means seeing these changes in time and deciding.
- 1Measurement: is each conversion counted correctly, and only once?
- 2Monitoring: which campaign crossed a threshold, which is not spending at all?
- 3Budget: moving money to winners and stopping what is too expensive.
- 4Testing: seeing with statistics which of two setups is really better.
- 5Diagnosis: when results drop, finding the funnel step where they broke.
Spend and results from your ad channels in one table
The combined table reads 7, 14, 30, 90, 180, 365-day windows. Meta is the channel you can launch campaigns on from the panel; Google, TikTok and ChatGPT campaigns are built in their own accounts and the panel reads them. The ChatGPT connection is covered on the ChatGPT ads page.
The rule engine: condition, action and safeguard
Each rule is one sentence: "If cost per conversion goes above $4 over the last 7 days, pause the campaign." Rules are evaluated every 30 minutes against live data from the connected ad account.
| Part | Options |
|---|---|
| Platform | Meta (Facebook and Instagram) or Google Ads |
| Result metric | Spend, cost per click, click-through rate, ROAS, cost per conversion, impressions, clicks, frequency |
| Funnel metric (Meta) | 3-second hook, hold rate, link click-through, landing page view, add to cart, checkout start, purchase rate |
| Time window | Today, last 3 days, last 7 days, last 30 days |
| Action | Pause, start, raise budget, cut budget, notify only |
| Safeguard | Approval first, daily change cap, daily budget cap, daily action limit, minimum spend, cooldown |
Ready-made rule templates
You do not have to start from an empty form. Template thresholds are not industry averages but the safe side, and every template that spends money ships with safeguards. You change the threshold to fit your own target.
| Condition | Action | Safeguard |
|---|---|---|
| ROAS ≥ 4 (last 7 days) | Raise budget by 20% | max 20% change a day, not before $6 spend, 24-hour cooldown |
| Cost per conversion > $4 (last 7 days) | Pause the campaign | asks for approval first, not before $6 spend, 24-hour cooldown |
| Cost per conversion > $3 (last 7 days) | Notify only | not before $2 spend, 12-hour cooldown |
| Frequency > 5 (last 7 days) | Notify only | not before $2 spend, 24-hour cooldown |
| Spend > $20 (today) | Cut budget by 20% | asks for approval first, max 20% change a day, 24-hour cooldown |
| 3-second hook rate < 20% (last 7 days) | Notify only | not before $2 spend, 24-hour cooldown |
Values are read from the panel's template definitions; all of them can be edited before the rule is saved.
When results drop: funnel diagnosis and the assistant
"ROAS dropped" is an outcome, not a cause. The Ad Diagnosis screen splits Meta ads into funnel steps and shows where they break first. The benchmark is your own account median, not an industry average.
- 1First 3 seconds
Does the video hold viewers in the opening seconds?
- 2Link click
Do viewers click?
- 3Landing page view
Does the click actually reach the page?
- 4Add to cart
Do visitors add the product to the cart?
- 5Purchase
Does the cart turn into checkout and a sale?
- Ads still in the learning phase get no aggressive diagnosis.
- Confidence is not turned into a percentage; diagnosis uses three levels.
- Ad Assistant reads the account and suggests decisions; a suggestion type you reject is not suggested again.
- Approving a suggestion does not change the ad account; you make the change or turn it into a rule.
A/B testing: picking the winner with statistics
- A test has two variants; each runs as its own Meta campaign with an equal budget.
- A winner is shown only once two-sided 95% confidence and a minimum sample are reached.
- What you tested is recorded: creative, hook, headline, call to action or offer.
- Each decision is logged with the confidence and sample at that moment, so later data cannot make it look right after the fact.

Frequently asked questions
What is ad management?
Measuring, monitoring, moving budget, testing and diagnosing live ads. Building the campaign is only the start; most of the effort goes into running it.
How often do automated rules run?
Rules you write in the panel are evaluated every 30 minutes. When a threshold is crossed the action is applied, and the same rule does not fire again on the same campaign until the cooldown ends.
Isn't automatic pausing risky?
You can make any rule require approval: it fires, and the action waits for you. You can also set a daily change cap, a daily action limit and a minimum spend. Rules can be switched off at any time.
Which ad channels can I manage?
Rules work on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google Ads campaigns. TikTok and ChatGPT spend and results appear in the combined table; rules do not run on these two channels. Meta is the channel you can launch campaigns on from the panel.
How do I know a creative is fatigued?
If frequency rises while click-through rate falls, the same people have seen the ad too often. The panel ships a frequency rule as a template that alerts you when the threshold is crossed.
How is the A/B test winner decided?
The two variants run in separate campaigns with equal budgets. A winner is shown once two-sided 95% confidence and a minimum sample are reached. You decide whether to switch, and the decision is logged.
Can a rule suddenly multiply my budget?
Not if a daily change cap is set. The ROAS template, for example, raises budget by 20% at a time and runs at most once a day; you set the cap.
Should I hire an agency or manage ads in the panel?
If you can handle setup and creative yourself, the panel takes over monitoring and rules. If you want setup, testing and reporting handled too, see our Meta ads management service.
