Ready to export?Check the list.
Measure export readiness with a checklist instead of a hunch. What you've completed, what's missing and what comes next are listed separately.

B2B lead generation servicesHow the export readiness assessment is scored
The score is calculated from the fields in your brand record, so there is no separate questionnaire. Each item carries a weight. The points of completed items are added up, divided by the 105-point total and rounded to a score out of 100.
| Item | Points | What is checked |
|---|---|---|
| HS code defined | 15 | At least one customs tariff code saved on the brand |
| At least 1 certificate | 10 | Certificates you list in the form on the score screen; each comma-separated name counts once |
| At least 3 certificates | 10 | Three or more different certificate names |
| At least 1 target country | 8 | Export target countries, or the brand's target countries if none are set |
| At least 5 target countries | 15 | Five or more countries in the same list |
| At least 2 content languages | 10 | The languages the brand produces content in |
| Incoterm chosen | 5 | At least one delivery term (such as EXW, FOB or CIF) |
| Website | 5 | An address starting with http or https |
| Production capacity | 8 | Monthly capacity above zero |
| Minimum order quantity (MOQ) | 7 | Quantity above zero |
| LinkedIn company page | 5 | Page address entered |
| Production details | 5 | Place of manufacture or workshop details, longer than 10 characters |
| Raw materials list | 2 | At least one raw material |
Points are taken directly from the panel's scoring endpoint. The 105-point total is scaled to 100.
Score levels and what you see on screen
| Score | Label | Guidance on screen |
|---|---|---|
| 80-100 | Ready to export | The basics are in place; you can move on to marketing |
| 60-79 | Most basics ready | Fill in missing certificate and capacity fields |
| 40-59 | Partly ready | There are critical gaps; close the list first |
| 0-39 | Not ready | Core fields such as HS code, certificates and target market are missing |
- Missing / To do: unfinished items, highest points first, each showing how many points it adds.
- Completed: finished items and their points sit in a separate list.
- Next steps: below 80, the three most valuable gaps are shown again with a short hint.
- Recalculate: refreshes the score right after you update the record; the date and time of the last calculation are shown.
In which order to close the gaps
- 1Open the score
The score is recalculated from the brand record when the screen opens.
- 2Read the list
The missing item worth the most points is at the top.
- 3Complete the record
Enter HS code, Incoterm, capacity, MOQ and certificates in the form on the score screen; target countries and languages live in the brand profile.
- 4Recalculate
The score and lists update to match the new record.
- 5Move on
Once you pass 80, the next-steps list disappears.
Export documents and what the score covers
The export readiness score is not a document checklist. Which documents you need depends on the product, the destination and the delivery term. In Turkey the current rules are published on the Ministry of Trade's export legislation page. The score shows whether the information a buyer asks for first is saved on your brand.
| Topic | Does the score check it | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Certificates | How many | Does not look at expiry dates or the document itself |
| HS code | Whether one is entered | Does not check that the code matches the product |
| Target countries | How many are entered | Does not assess each country's import requirements |
| Incoterm | Whether one is chosen | Does not review the split of responsibilities in a contract |
| Customs paperwork | No | Declarations and certificates of origin are outside the score |
Why the HS code and Incoterms come first
The Harmonized System (HS) is the World Customs Organization's product classification. Each commodity group is identified by a six-digit code, and the system is the basis of customs tariffs in more than 200 countries and economies. That is why the HS code is one of the highest-weighted items.
Incoterms are the delivery rules published by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC); the current edition is Incoterms 2020, with 11 rules. Buyers ask which term your price is based on, and quotes drag on when none is chosen.
- An HS code helps the buyer find your product in their own tariff.
- A chosen Incoterm makes clear from the start what your price covers.
- Capacity and MOQ tell the buyer whether you can take their order.
- A LinkedIn page and a website are where corporate buyers look first.
After the score: market, trade fairs and buyers
The score screen does not send you to another screen by itself; once the basics are complete, the usual next steps in export work look like this.
- 1Before you pick target countries, study demand and competitors with market intelligence.
- 2Plan face-to-face meetings with buyers at your industry's fairs using the trade show calendar.
- 3Complete contacts from fairs or your own lists with company and role details using lead enrichment.
Frequently asked questions
What does the export readiness score measure?
Whether 13 basic export details are saved on your brand: HS code, certificates, target countries, content languages, Incoterm, website, capacity, MOQ, LinkedIn, production details and raw materials.
How is the score calculated?
Each item has a point value and they add up to 105. The points of completed items are divided by that total and rounded to a score out of 100.
Does the score change by target market?
No. The same 13 items carry the same weights for every brand and every destination. The number of target countries counts; each country's specific requirements do not.
I have a certificate but the score ignores it. Why?
List your certificates, separated by commas, in the Export details form on the score screen and save. An empty field is not counted.
When is the score updated?
It is recalculated from the brand record every time you open the screen. After editing the record, use “Recalculate” to refresh it straight away.
Does “Ready to export” mean I can start exporting?
The label is not an official permit; it only shows that the basics are entered. For customs paperwork and regulations, use the official guidance in the country you export from.
Where is the export score in the panel?
It appears in the menu as Export Score and is shown to B2B export and corporate business profiles. The score is calculated from the selected brand's record.
