Hootsuite is a good dashboard. The difference is pricing and flow.

Hootsuite is priced per user. AgentFabrica is priced per plan; content is produced from a topic, goes to approval first, then onto the calendar and out to your connected accounts.

Why people look beyond Hootsuite

Hootsuite is a mature social media dashboard: it runs many accounts from one calendar, answers messages from one inbox and monitors your brand and competitors. This page is not here to knock it; it shows which tool fits which job.

  • According to Hootsuite's plans page, pricing is per user, so the bill grows as the team grows.
  • Approval workflows sit on a higher Hootsuite plan, which can be a hurdle for small teams that need sign-off.
  • Teams that want production, approval and planning in one flow on one screen tend to look at other tools too.
  • Agencies juggling several small brands often prefer a per-plan price over per-seat pricing.
