Social media analyticsfrom measured data, on one screen.
Reach, engagement and growth come from each platform's own data. See whether reach turned into sales through a measured funnel, and where you stand against your sector's range.

Social media managementWhat social media analytics answers
Social media analytics measures who your posts reach, how much engagement they get and what that brings the business. Every platform has its own stats screen, but each one only shows itself.
- Overview: period summary, daily series, platform breakdown and theme performance.
- Posts: the five best and five weakest posts by engagement.
- Audience: total followers, growth against the previous period and average engagement rate.
- Ads: spend, conversions and ROAS for Meta campaigns.
- Competitors: followers and average engagement of competitors' Instagram accounts.
What each metric tells you
| Metric | How it is calculated | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Impressions | Times the post was displayed | How far the content travelled |
| Reach | Unique accounts that saw the post | How many people you actually reached |
| Engagement | Likes, comments, shares and saves added up | How strongly the content moves people |
| Engagement rate | Engagement divided by reach, or followers if reach is missing | A fair comparison between posts |
| Growth | This 30 days against the previous 30 days | Direction: better or worse |
An eye-catching metric like clicks can mislead on its own. We explain why Meta's click count looks inflated in how the click metric flatters your ads.
Did reach turn into sales?
Likes are half the story. The report puts reach in the same funnel as visits, leads and sales measured on your site. Each step's ratio to the previous one is shown too.
- 1Reach
Reach measured on the platforms for your posts.
- 2Site visit
Page view events on your site.
- 3Lead
Form, sign-up, contact or subscribe events.
- 4Sale
Purchase events and revenue.
- The channel of each event is read from its click ID: Meta, Google or TikTok.
- An unmeasured step stays out of the funnel; no ratio is invented for it.
- Site events arrive once conversion tracking is set up.
Where you stand against your sector
Most guides describe benchmarking with one broad average. Here the target range from your brand's sector profile is used, and your value is labelled against it.
| Label | When it is given |
|---|---|
| Above | Your value is past the top of the range |
| Normal | Your value is inside the range |
| Below | Your value is under the bottom of the range |
| Not measured | Your value or the sector target is missing |
Compared measures: engagement rate, cost per lead and ROAS (revenue per unit of ad spend).
- If the platform with the best engagement rate gets the fewest posts, you get a suggestion to post there more often.
- If one theme's engagement rate trails the others, you get a suggestion to change that theme's format.
- Every measure below the sector range is listed as its own action.
- Each suggestion shows the numbers behind it; no generic advice is produced.
Audience data and platform limits
Age, city and gender breakdowns need an extra read permission from the platforms. Until those permissions are added to the connection, the audience tab shows followers, growth and average rate only, and says why the rest is empty.
- The report is cached for an hour; the Refresh button pulls fresh data from the platforms.
- If ad data cannot be fetched live, the last known values are shown with their date.
- If conversions arrive without revenue, ROAS is not shown as zero; the screen says measurement is incomplete.
- Account data covers Instagram and Facebook; post results cover Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. We do not promise measurement for LinkedIn, YouTube or X.

Frequently asked questions
What is social media analytics?
Measuring who your posts reach, how much engagement they get and what they bring the business. This screen gathers Instagram and Facebook account data and results for posts published from the panel into one 30-day report.
How do you do social media analytics?
Pick a goal first: reach, engagement or sales. Then measure that goal's metric regularly and compare it with the previous period and your sector range. The panel does the measuring and comparing for you.
Which platforms are analysed?
Instagram and Facebook at account level. Instagram, Facebook and TikTok posts published from the panel at post level. We do not promise measurement for LinkedIn, YouTube or X.
Are posts I share by hand in the app included?
No. The report works from the platform IDs of posts published from the calendar. Schedule posts in the calendar to have them all measured; each Instagram post's performance also appears on the Instagram management screen.
How is engagement rate calculated?
Likes, comments, shares and saves are added up and divided by reach. If a platform does not return reach, follower count is used as the denominator.
Can I see audience demographics?
Not right now. Age, city and gender breakdowns need an extra read permission from the platforms. The audience tab says so and fills in once the permission is added.
How do I export the report?
From the analytics screen, download the last 30 days as CSV or turn the printable report into a PDF.
Can I send clients a branded report?
This screen's output is not branded. To send regular reports with your own logo, use the reporting product.
